3 Common Misconceptions About House Cleaners
If you’ve ever considered hiring a house cleaning service, odds are that you’ve thought about some of the most common misconceptions that most people have about them.
Here are the top three that we’ve been hearing about and our response to each.
1. All House Cleaners are the Same
Many concerns about house cleaners start with the idea that all of them are the same. While it’s true that many house cleaning services offer similar services, it should be noted that there are a lot of things that can be different between each.
First of all, on the most basic level, it can be found (after a little research) that house cleaning services rarely (if ever) offer the same services as each other. While most will vacuum the floor and dust, you may discover that some will clean major appliances and others will not, for instance.
In addition this, you should also note that house cleaning services can have very different quality standards. It’s best to ensure that the service you’re hiring has great reviews from many satisfied customers. Otherwise, you’ll find that you end up with a service that offers a deteriorating cleaning quality or one that was never impressive to begin with.
2. Cheaper is Better
It’s definitely important that your house cleaning service offers you a competitive, fair quote. However, do note that cheaper isn’t always better. We’d like to encourage you again to check a company’s Google reviews before you book them. Many undercutting, cheap services offer a great quality clean for the first couple of visits, but have a deteriorating standard over time.
Because of this, we wouldn’t recommend booking the cheapest company on the block or the most expensive. The current market standard rates exist for a reason, and we’d advise you to book a cleaning crew that offers a competitive price for a great quality cleaning.
After all, if you really want to have the house cleaning weight lifted off of your sh0ulders, you’ll want to partner with a company that you can trust.
3. It’s a Lot of Work to Prepare
Another reason that many people choose not to book house cleaners is that they’ve heard about how much work it takes to prepare for a cleaning company’s arrival. Some people even say that they spend more time organizing than the house cleaner does working!
Here at Tidy Touch, we do recommend a quick straightening up so that our team can spend more time on deep cleaning. That being said, don’t work harder than necessary to prepare for our arrival! By picking up toys and clothes from the floor, we’ll able to get to work much faster, but you shouldn’t need to do any of the hard work. Leave all of that to us. On your end, a five-minute tidy should suffice!
If you’re still skeptical about what a house cleaning company can do for you, head on over to our services page. We’ve listed out exactly what we do and what we don’t. If you’re satisfied with that, you can even get a quote delivered right to your email inbox. It’s that simple!
