Enjoy the Lakefront Music Fest, We’ll Take Care of the Rest
The Lakefront Music Fest is rapidly approaching. Held each summer in Prior Lake, Minnesota since 2010, this summer’s event is scheduled for July 14 and 15, 2017.
Each year, the music fest has grown larger in attendance, with last year’s crowd reaching over 20,000 people. The large audience makes for an exciting experience, but the musical talent over the 2-day event is the real draw for most festival attendees.
The first night, July 14, is devoted to rock. The headliner is The Fray.
The second night of the festival is dedicated to country music. The two headlining performers are David Nail and Billy Currington. Nail has released four albums, with the latest being “Fighter.” Currington has produced six albums, the most recent of which is “Summer Forever.” His appearance at the Lakefront Music Fest is part of his “Stay Up ‘Til the Sun Tour.”
The Lakefront Music Fest Includes More Than Music
If the Lakefront Music Fest sounds like a great outing for you and your friends, it’s meant to be. While children 13 and younger get free admission, the event is really aimed at adults.
Be assured that the event’s organizers, the Rotary Club of Prior Lake, didn’t forget the children. They have created Camp Fest for Kids, a fun camp-out for children 8 and older that includes dinner and games. Camp Fest for Kids starts Friday evening at 5 p.m. at Cleary Lake Park. In addition to musical performers and a camp for kids, the Lakefront Music Fest also includes food vendors (leave the food and beverages at home!) and a raffle.
First prize for the raffle is a 2017 Chevy Colorado truck; second and third prizes are $5,000 and $1,000 cash, respectively. For complete information on the Lakefront Music Fest, including ticket prices and locations, visit http://www.lakefrontmusicfest.com/.
